lookie what I got!

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Section 7.3 Firearms Amendment Act 1997.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

yep, 7.3, it is a historical firearm as it was pert of the trial for the replacement of the Hi-power

Sim-G , ouch...

not like I post rude pics of Marlins...
I don't have pics atm, as I have only seen 2 of the 10 that the RFD got ahold of, and so have had to pic a serial number rather than the gun. so when I see it, it will be for the first time, and I will get some pics. what I do know is they have had grip tape added, different barrels, and decent trit powered night sights.

I did however have a look at a S&W M&P9 yesterday, that was part of the trial too, and have put a reservation on that too, so I doubt I'll have my ticket back for long lol. that has taller sights, and was fitted for a red dot system by Shield before going out to the MOD.

A very good friend of mine worked for a company that submitted a model for the British trials. He had an interesting take on it.....

Maybe a silly question but can these only be used in certain conditions? i.e. competitions? or can they be shot as any other Firearm on certificate.

no competitions, although you can compare and contrast with other 7.3 owners.

no limit on amount of use or ammo put through, just that you have to be alone, or only with other 7.3 users, on a locked, secure range. the gun is housed at this range and may not leave unless with the express consent of the HO

Ah ok, I'm guessing there is a list of approved ranges?
