Re: 7mm rsaum
Very nice group mesun.ive always got cci br2s in stock .have you tried sellor and belliot LR primers
Re: 7mm rsaum
Never, I tend to use Federal, CCI, Remington, Muron and Magtech with the first two being my preference
Re: 7mm rsaum
Yes same here.i bought the 2000 s&b primers when components were getting scarce not so long back.i switched to using them in 2 different calibres and never noticed any difference.what build is your 7mm rsaum

Re: 7mm rsaum
I ran some of my reloads yesterday. It was too hot really but I still tried a few loads.got to 62grs of N 165 behind a 180gr hybrid and started getting faint ejector marks.quickload predicted 2890fps on this load.not really sure how it works but 57.6grs of n165 in my 284 produces 2820fps when I last chronied.the 7mm saum with an extra 5grs more powder you would think quite a bit more fps not just the 70fps predicted by quickload

Re: 7mm rsaum
Have you tried N560.
Re: 7mm rsaum
I've only fired about 30 shots through is at the very most.ive bought 5kg of N165 to run it on and my 284.no plans to change powder anytime soon
Re: 7mm rsaum
I did some ammo testing the other day and I didn't see the faint ejector marks in the bright sunlight.had them on 61,61.5 and 62grs of N165 which were more obvious.its a shame though as 62grs must of hit the top accuracy node with a nice 0.340 group.i ran some 60.5gr loads frew the chrony this afternoon and I was getting 2871fps with the 180gr hybrids. Not quite what I had hoped.maybe I will try the N560 then.
Re: 7mm rsaum
I had good results with N560 however it is heavy on the barrel and throat erosion can be measured every 50 rounds.
