.303 magazine chain or link
I would like to add the missing chain or link back to a rifle I have here, does anyone have any suggestions on where to find either an original chain/link or a suitable source od something that looks old to replace the missing part.
Thoughts anyone?

The chain was for the bolt cover. If you do a search for small arms I.d. drawing on here you will find a link to my collection and the drawing for the SMLE clearly shows this. The chain itself, the ones I've seen at any rate, just look like toilet chain. Getting hold of a breech cover is another matter.

Tom, exactly like that :)

Shouldn't be too difficult to fabricate. Most probably SWG (Standard Wire Gauge) and looks to be one step up from the gauge of the loop on the magazine.

I know that existed but I've never seen one in real life, not even in a museum!

I'm reading on another forum that the chain was only used on the Long Lee and the Metford.

That works as the rifle I want a chain for is a Lee Speed
