I have a space for a 7.62/.308 on my ticket, I already have a 6.5creedmoor and a .303 longbranch, what do you think to a Spanish Mauser or a nagant or a .........

As the OP has posted in this forum then he is obviously looking for rifles with pre 1945 actions, which the straight pull AKM is not.

If your slot is 7.62/308 then you are limited to 7.62 x 51 or 308. Any other flavour of 7.62 (i.e. 7.62 x 54) is going to need a variation on your FAC.

No, 1945 was picked as date that separates bolt action military rifle development from the automatic rifle, nothing is neat so a likely date was picked.
There are classic auto and semi auto designs but as they are banned in this country all we have is straight pull pretendy substitutes which misses the essential part of their operating interest. These single shot variants are in the main fullbore rifles made for a civilian market so neither meet the military or historic aspects of this forum.
So 1945 it is.
