Hi has anyone used TR140 or RS50 for 6.5 Creedmoor on 144gn projectiles?

There is no commercial load data from Reload Swiss for 6.5 Creedmoor. There is, however, some customer load data for a 142gr SMK but it is using RS60 powder which I have linked below. Reload Swiss RS50 is slightly too fast burning for the heavier projectiles in the 6.5mm calibres, I use RS60 for 123gr projectiles in my 6.5x47 Lapua which works very well. Looking at the website for 6.5x47 Lapua, they list RS52 as the "fastest burning powder" for this calibre using a 140gr projectile and the maximum pressure is higher compared with the slower burning powders such as RS60 and RS62.

The CIP maximum pressure for 6.5 creedmoor is 62,150 psi.
The CIP maximum pressure for 6.5x47 Lapua is 63,100 psi.

Although not an apples-to-apples comparison, there's no load data for RS50 in 140gr bullets for the higher pressure 6.5x47, therefore I do not suspect it is advisable to use RS50 in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 140gr projectile. I would recommend looking at RS60.

All the normal verbiage applies, "Use this data at your own risk", "start with minimum loading and work up" etc. etc.

Please read the question, I am fully aware of what you state and have looked through my books and researched data published by the powder manufacturers on the" internet".

No I haven't or the data is available in the Lee Reloaders manual (it isn't) would be more useful.

You can use QuickLoad as a vague reference as v3.9 lists the 6,5CM and the RS Powder file is easily loaded. Downside is I cannot think of a 144 grain bullet.

I use Viht N140 which is almost identical to TR140 in both the 6.5 Creedmoor and 260 Rem, but, and this is a big BUT it's with 100gr bullets. For 123 and anything heavier it's a bit too fast, N150/160/540/550 would be a better choice.

Lapua do or used to do a 144gr FMJBT. (beat me to it while I was editing!)

I have chronographed N140 with 140gr Nosler CC bullets, a low starting load based off loads worked up using the very similar Lovex S062. It gave decent results around 2550fps but I certainly wouldn't try pushing it any faster in case of pressure spiking, just use the recommended powders.
