Good day at the range
Full bore shoot at Ponteland yesterday, shot a nice variety of weapons, hopefully you will enjoy the photos.

Very nice grouping of rifles! I really like the HB #4 in 7.62. is the 98k an Israeli in 7.62? It looks like the lower band is on backwards.
Looks like a nice range too.

Thank you for the comments. The Mauser is 1940s German in 7.92. It is a nice range, well there are two at Ponteland just outside Newcastle and I am lucky in that they are only 15 minutes drive for me.

Never ever "weapons"...they are firearms/guns/whatever else you want to call them apart from the aforementioned word.
Google the above word and you will know where I am coming from. All about perception, especially to the non shooting public.
Your FEO will very likely call them weapons, ignore him/her.
Nice pictures and thanks for posting, what is the distance?

Re: Good day at the range
I pulled the FEO up on him calling them weapons when I had the initial interview. I'm not sure if it was a test, but just like you christel, I believe perception is important and the FEO knows they are not weapons when owned and used by law-abiding target shooters.

RDC, the FEO's argument is that it is the terminology they have been told to use.
If you read the various guidelines and consultations coming out of the Home Office then the choice of words is abysmal.

Re: Good day at the range
Ponteland is not a bad range at all, the wind especially on B range can be "variable" at times :)
I'm sure there's a big sign in the car park that says you're not allowed to take any photographs on MOD ranges
