Here's how my .300 WSM rifle now looks - Tikka T3 barrelled action, KRG X-Ray chassis, Tier-One UniMount, Swarovski PVS 6-24x50PL scope, Accurate-Mag AICS mags, Atlas bi-pod.Berger wrote:just toying with the idea at the mo.DW58 wrote:I've owned a .300WSM rifle for the past three years. (N.B. this is actually my .308 Tikka with a 20" barrel, but the .300 WSM is now in the same stock with the same scope/mount and thus looks the same except for barrel length).
While it might look the part for PR, I wouldn't recommend it as is because of its recoil. It can be tamed by a brake or moderator, but I think you'd also find projected barrel life to be a negative - 1,000-1,500 rds tops especially with double-based powders.
