#1 Post by Hunter87 »

Can anyone tell me what size patches I should be looking at for a .308 barrel and can anyone recommend a good quality brand?

Thanks

Pro-Shot 30cal square are the only patches I would consider.

I find good old 4x2 does the trick, I just cut each strip in half.

Snaperskaya +1............cheap as chips if you buy the 4x2 from Kranks for £5-50 for 23metres.

Cleaning patches?! I usually use whatever I have available, provided it's (a) cotton and (b) will fit down the barrel. 4x2, bed sheet, t-shirt...

Proshot 1 3/4 inch square are right for the 308. Use with the Proshot 308 jag but by using smaller jags you can clean 6mm and 6.5 mm. Proshot stuff is imported by Hannam's.
