I paid £1150 for my mark 1 Ruger PR (6.5CM) a couple of months ago from http://www.simplyfirearms.co.uk/ (why not give Derek a call, he's a very nice and helpful chap) plus I added this (£69.99+ P&P) https://www.riflecraft.co.uk/titanium-bolt-shroud: the Ruger PR does however need a muzzle brake (circa £150) which I have not purchased yet so a mark 2 whilst more expensive (circa £1399) may be a more cost effective option? Lets see a picture when you buy it.

Muzzle brake seems very overpriced. Mine was well under £50

Which one did you get and where from ? I'm thinking of one for my RPR, but the Ruger one's are the other side of £100.

Managed to get a Surefire 5/8"x24 brake from the USA for about $60
(Same thread as the RPR but mine's a dedicated 6.8 model = not as common.It'd work well on a 6.5 too.)
The .308 brakes of that thread pitch tend to be more common & therefore cheaper.

Happy to help source one if you get stuck....and some of the less "High Street" brands can be very good buys.

Very common thread (in the USA at least) 5/8" x 24, also known as 5/8" UNEF.
British gunsmiths seem to more commonly use UNF across the board....so for 5/8" that is 18 threads, for 1/2" it is 20 threads
The US threads are EXTRA fine with more threads per inch.

When I spoke to a well known gunsmith within the Northwest, that was the price quoted inc. finishing in black (I paid about £125 for my Steyr Aug muzzle brake and I am quite happy with that). The issue stated is that that the rifle needs to be at the shop (one can't just be posted) because there are issues with the threads on Ruger PR barrels (no two seem to be the same!).

The 5/8"-24 die isn't expensive.
Ideal for finishing off badly cut threads
