Steyr AUG Z trigger pack help
Hi all,
I started out attempting to remove one of the two hammer springs from the Steyr AUG Z trigger pack, apparently this reduces the force required to manually re cock after each shot.
The problem is, I have completed dissembled the trigger pack and now cannot get any of the springs to re align to the original positions they were in. They are simply too stiff and small to get at!
Any ideas? Or is it a trip to a gun smith for me?
Thanks

Re: Steyr AUG Z trigger pack help
There are a few instructional videos on youtube that might help.
Long time ago since I sold my AUG, fitting a trigger tamer was fairly straight forward, I don't remember taking the whole thing apart.
If you're stuck, Low Mill Ranges were pretty clued up on the AUG, I sold them mine.

Already looked here mate, good site for info but doesn't go too in depth on the trigger pack.

Cheers mate, will give the videos a good once over later on.
Main problem I'm finding is that the hammer sprig needs to go back on itself nearly 180 degrees to fit into the notch.
May end up having to give low mil a call!
Re: Steyr AUG Z trigger pack help
Quick update, rebuilding the sear has been easy, it's just getting the hammer springs to both link into the hammer & the hammer pack.
it's impossible!
Any one else got some tips? I can seem to find any guides on the web about hammer spring disassembly, despite so many people recommending it!

Re: Steyr AUG Z trigger pack help
Panic over, I have finally managed to do it. Christ you need superman strength to overcome those hammer springs!
Well I'm running just one now, cocks a lot easier, so the desired effect has been achieved.
Thanks all.
