Lee Breech lock press
Can any one tell me what size the thread is on a Lee breech lock press please.
Re: Lee Breech lock press
The die inserts are 1 5/64" x 16 tpi (external) and 7/8" x 14 tpi (internal)
Re: Lee Breech lock press
Thanks.
Re: Lee Breech lock press
Hmm. I can not find a 1- 5/64" x 16 tpi die advertised any were. Might be a problem.
Re: Lee Breech lock press
I've not got one, but looks like you can use standard dies by fitting them with a Breech Lock Quick Change Bushing? Then you can quickly swap between dies..
Re: Lee Breech lock press
Yes that is correct but I want to be able to cut the 1- 5/64" x 16 tpi thread onto some thing I am making.bamboo wrote:I've not got one, but looks like you can use standard dies by fitting them with a Breech Lock Quick Change Bushing? Then you can quickly swap between dies..
Re: Lee Breech lock press
Have you got access to a screw cutting lathe?
If not have you got enough material to cut the smaller 7/8 x 14 tpi thread and use a die bush?

looks like a propriety thread. time to get the machinists at work make you up something.
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns
Re: Lee Breech lock press
I need to be able to do it my self. Every one is flat out at work. I need to make at least six of them.
It looks like I will have to have a go at screw cutting.
I can not find a die bush.
