59p is very cheap but I am surprised it was not mentioned when the new boing app was announced. If we are to pay for it will we see it released on time now instead of a week late? There are now several ways for you to view Target Shooter, but the best way is to download it and read at your leisure - best of all of it FREE.

Target shooter now charged for through the Appstore
So Target shooter is now charged for through the Appstore. GBP0.59 I see the website still advertises it as:

So is the only way to now read it via Apple?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I believe it is still available free as per usual. The small charge I'm guessing may be more to do with Apple rather than Vince and the team.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
Re: Target shooter now charged for through the Appstore
Yes it is still available from the site and can be viewed with YUDO (?) or downloaded as a .Pdf both options are free of charge. It is only when viewed on an boing or iPad that you have to pay.

Hi Guys,
The issue costs on the iPad were published in the June Webitorial of the magazine, however being connected to those at TS I can tell you that the mag is to remain free to read online as it is currently but the cost to download it from Apple is basically to help recoup some of the costs in developing the app itself and hosting it (which is in the thousands not hundreds by the way). The 59p is the lowest charge you can make currently (except free of course) This way the general readership aren't paying for the development of something they cannot use if they haven't got an Apple product. Personally I have bought the July version because I am willing to pay for the convenience of being able to read it anywhere I like, trains planes & porcelain thrones etc - the iPad was made for stuff like this and if you haven't seen the mag on an iPad then I am sure you would be impressed with the clarity and ease of use, a step up even from the boing as you would expect with all the extra screen space.
I also know that Kindle versions and also Android ones are in the pipeline as these platforms become more and more commonplace.

I skim through mine quiet happily on the netty using my ebook and the downloaded PDF file so paying isn't necessary for ebooks.
