I have 600 new Starline that I was going to rotate the current brass out with. That was probably over a year ago and the Starline is still gathering dust on a shelf somewhere. 38/.357 brass seems to go for ever.

Re: .38/357 brass last ?
I bought 500 privvi case back in 2014 and on the first couple of firings lost 10-12 cases through spilts. I was very disappointed and complained bitterly on these pages about rubbish cases. Rather than throw them away I persevered with the cases though and since then (touch wood) I have had no more problems and the cases are on their 10th reload. I use 3.4g of Vectan AS behind a 158g bullet so a light load.
