Its the alcohol you are after.
Shellac works well in this application, due to its brittleness the bullet breaks evenly from the case and doesn't leave even lumps on the bullets base that could effect accuracy.
Nail varnish works similarly but the current stuff seems to be more rubbery and less useful.

Oi! "Eddie Izzard" how you finding vivisection free lipstick working these days as well? Still managing to attract sailors with it?!!

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Who is "eddie Izzard"?
Never tried lipstick as you are the expert how would it work?
Regarding the sailors, only if they are into bears.

If you are a good boy you could, perhaps, shoot one of them.
Not many shooters have interest in such interesting things.

I have used nail varnish as a paint lock on trigger screws in the past however I do agree these days it does not seem the same.dromia wrote:Nail varnish works similarly but the current stuff seems to be more rubbery and less useful.
