Thanks guys.

Yes I've read as such about the ppu since. I was just buying bits and bobs while I was waiting for the license. These came up on the forum and seemed a bargain... Guess I know why. I might try grouping them by weight

I'll ditch the crimping one less action more time for other things. Might stop by somewhere today and pick some other bullets up I have some new lapua brass don't want to waste it. Then again I have 500 of the bloody things so I'm gonna have to shoot them sometime.

Although as the rifle is guaranteed under 1moa if I use the ppu I'll have an excuse when I can't shoot for s***.

I use the Lee factory crimp on all my rifle ammunition and find it does give a slight improvement (but maybe that's just me being more confident when I shoot!), it's not a roll or taper crimp just a slight segmented straight crimp.

For my tube fed Henry 44 under-levers I use the pistol carbide factory crimp which gives a roll over into the cannelure.

I was using N140 with 165gr for a few years and tried N150 and got the desired FPS without pressure signs obtained when using N140 for the same FPS
I beg to differ. I use N140 very successfully with 175gn Sierra Match Kings and N550 with heavier bullets (185gn Bergers).

N140 is fine behind the Egyptian 180gr bullets I've been using :good:
