No. You can under-anneal, but not overdo it as far as the neck goes, well within reason anyway. The main risk in too much heat input is its migrating down the case body and softening the bottom of the case-body / case-head areas which you want to remain as hard as possible.

Good stuff. knew about the case head, just didn't wanna turn the necks into limp noodles. :p

And remember the golden rule, regardless of what's written on the Internet, NEVER let a case neck start to glow, light red, dark red or "just barely glowing red in the dark under the covers with the lights off", once it's reached that point the next stage is to bin it!!! :)
