Re: Gallery Rifle Choices
Resurrecting this thread following on from my experience shooting my Mateba for the first time in competition, I still need to practice a lot, but it did quite well for a first try. The bit I liked was using the double action for double taps, pulling the trigger to get the cylinder in the right place, slight pause then back a bit more for two quick but accurate shots.
Not as much drop at 50 yards with 38 special either.
I've got a bit bored with shooting my 22 for gallery rifle, although with a scope it's more accurate than the Vortex red dot on the Mateba, if a bit slower.

Careful now/that sort of thing

There's an Italian firm still selling genuine scope brackets for them - but last I looked they were 130Euro a pop!

Re: Gallery Rifle Choices
I have one, that's what the red dot is mounted on. Magnified red dot of some sort next perhaps, whatever it is won't make the Mateba look any less unusual.saddler wrote:...so, put a scope on the Matebashugie wrote:Resurrecting this thread following on from my experience shooting my Mateba for the first time in competition, I still need to practice a lot, but it did quite well for a first try.
