Really ? I know of a 7-08 with short 20" barrel that gets used to good effect out beyond 1400yds

For what it's worth, that article was written by Zak Smith who is an excellent shooter.

It was Zak's original article that swayed me towards a new 6,5x47 Lapua barrel for my AI. I have not seen many new articles from him of late.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
