Will have the new USC upper, purpose built bolt carrier and 18 inch barrel. I have an earlier Raven TCR and had hands on the new prototype, the action on my Raven is very slick, the new side charging Raven will be even more so.

The planned spec list is exceptional:

Full billet USC upper and Lantac USA lower.
SPADA freefloat rail.
.223 Wylde 18" barrel.
Lantac ECT 2 stage trigger.
Lantac Dragon muzzle brake.
Magpul stock and grip.

Options will be available.

Wow, that does sound great. Love the look of the bolt and receiver.

Thanks for the info.

As I've stated already in this thread the guns themselves have never been an issue on the forum only the aggression of some pretendy AR owners and makers, they cause the problems here not the guns.

That is why there is pretendy AR Alerts on topics like these so as to try and head off the AR owner conflict that seems to always follow these threads.
my intent was not to open old wounds but to ask a rather dumb question!
This isn't your fault, as a new member you are not expected to know the sorry history of AR threads on here.

Your question isn't dumb, the only dumb question is the one not asked.

The whole thing went of track not because of your post but because some pretendy AR owners got their panties in a twist because the guns were called pretendy.

It has been pointed out that pretendy isn't a real word, which it isn't, but seems appropriate in the context seeing as straight pull single shot ARs aren't real ARs.

ARSP, now that sounds an honest description of the type of firearm we are discussing here.

OK, so as an example if my straight pull Dragunov is made in exactly the same plant as every Russian Dragunov on the planet, on exactly the same production line using the same manufacturing methods to the same design as that of Yevgeny Dragunov's original Dragunov (*albeit lacking a hole and three parts*) is it a Dragunov?.....

*there is apparent accounts of Russian Dragunov-equipped snipers that deactivated the gas system during the Soviet Afghan conflict and the Chechen wars and used them as a straight pull bolt action in order to get a little bit of an increase in accuracy and muzzle velocity.

Then why call them so?

Simply because nobody enquiring about AR's in the UK would expect it to be SA unless it is a 22 version ... Therefore your use of the word "prettendy" is not informative, which I would approve, but antagonising, which I disaprove off ;)

At the end of the day, I dont care that much since my SA 5.56 AR is legally held, but maybe GOM would have been a more suitable place, than highjacking the post & genuine request of a new member, to start that "discussion" your intentional choice of word you knew would provoke ??

Dromia,

is your role to administer the site? Moderate the site? or just to provoke people?

In a role of being responsible to administer the site and to moderate it, you shouldn't be provoking people which could lead to you banning them from the site, unless this is your aim.

My aim is none of those things.

I have no intention of provoking anyone but I have obviously underestimated the sensitivity of some members.

At the end of the day on places like this people can choose to be provoked or not.
