Many Thanks ..

I notice that the capacity in the graph is very low at 26.885 gr

My Winchester brass gives me a capacity of 30.1 gr

I take it that this would give very different pressure results ?!?

Cheers

Firstly , before I start this post...
Many thanks to Triffid for looking into this for me .

as I pointed out in my last post, where I tried to be humble.

Now,
Unless I am mistaken that clearly says : usable case capacity : 26.893 grain H20

Not usable case capacity : 30.1 grain H20

i believe 26.893 is the default setting
I don't know of many modern 223 cases that small ... 99% these days are 29gr or more

The internal size of the case would have a dramatic effect to the PSI. Which in turn has an effect to the FPS

I know from my own testing that a 25.6gr load gives me an average fps of 3155

Well under what is stated in the above graph / table with the same load.

Many thanks

It states usable case capacity, so I would assume that it is allowing for the space the bullet takes up in the case against the COAL but I may be wrong it's been a long time since I've played with my quick load

The difference is in the volume of the seated bullet. In this case 3.215 grains of water.
30.1 - 3.215 = 26.885

Correct.

Was calculated with 30.1gr of overall case capacity, as requested. Unless the OP measured with a bullet stuffed in...?

Many thanks ..

And thanks for pointing that out..

I am shocked though, as my data up to 25.5 gr powder is vastly different from the data listed

Hence my questioning of the capacity.

Again, thank you !
