Tumbler motor

#1 Post by mag41uk »

I have an RCBS tumbler and the motor died a couple of years back.
No spec label on the motor.
Bought a couple of motors from RS which had the same hole spacing's at about 60rpm.
First motor lasted about 10 hours and the second one didn't make it past about 3 hours.
I know tumblers are cheap to buy but has anyone found a motor that is a good replacement?

Drop RCBS an email, they have been very good in the past and have shipped out obscure spare parts free of charge.

Check out your yellow pages and find a local motor re-wind specialist.

They will recon it as good as new, probably cheaper than a new replacement.

RCBS service is second to none - email them and explain what's gone wrong

+3 on the RCBS Customer Service option.
Chances are they'll send out a replacement motor free.

I see to recall that the fantastic RCBS life time warranty doesn't extend to electrical components, still worth checking though.
