It would be some bang!meles meles wrote:Best start ringing around, snayperskya, maybe we could organise a 7.3 million gun salute ?
M91/30 production from 1930-1945 totaled 13-14,000,000 alone, add to that all the earlier variants, carbines and Mosins produced in other countries thats a hell of a lot of rifles!!!.

I think you are right there, I believe it has overtaken the .303 and I don't see the 54r going out of use anytime soon when you consider the number of 54r chambered weapons still in military use around the world.

Re: Happy Birthday M91/30

I was thinking of getting a Mosin after reading about the Finn M39. I didn't realise just how amazing that rifle was after the Finn's got their mitts on it!! Trying to find one is a different story, plus I'll have to get rid of my .308 first.
Snayper, know of any good sources for the M39 Mosin? If not, do you think the hex receiver M91/30's compare quite well?

I have been after a M39 for a while now. A dealer had a few for sale they all got sold within an hour of them being listed.WelshShooter wrote:![]()

I saw one on Gunstar (other gun selling websites are available too) yesterday which had a cracked stock which was nicely repaired (not sure if legit. done by the Finn's or recently...) and that was going for £850 but I cannot find it now, so obviously has sold.bnz41 wrote: I have been after a M39 for a while now.
