Something on their website is taking my fancy, has anyone had dealings with them? (trawled through the threads on here and not found anything?)

I quite liked the look of the Mosin sniper until I saw "Made in Russia" on the side of the receiver.......I will refrain from commenting further.

Sadly thats how things are now, maybe could have been a smaller stamp.snayperskaya wrote:I quite liked the look of the Mosin sniper until I saw "Made in Russia" on the side of the receiver.......I will refrain from commenting further.
Re: CW Classic Arms
I noticed this as well. From what I understand those Mosins were released in bigger batches from Russia not long ago - could this be a marking for export?

The same Mosins are on Highwood Classic Arms with following description:
"These are one of the last batches of Nagant rifles to come out of Russia. No more are coming out due to the Russian Arms Embargo so get them while they are still available and cheap.
These are Genuine Sniper Rifles and not the cleaned up standard 91/30 rifles that have been cobbled together with newly made parts to resemble a Sniper Rifle."

Sorry for broken post - had troubled posting. No idea what to think about it? Why would someone stamp it like this?

Re: CW Classic Arms
Below the "Made in Russia" there is a Tula Arsenal proof ("T" in a triangle) and there are two Klimovsk marks (looks like "rnc" in a diamond, Tests of weapons and ammunition control laboratory Klimovsk) and the number 12 which indicates the rifle was reproofed at Klimovsk, which is located 55km south of Moscow, in 2012.Mgi wrote:I noticed this as well. My SKS came through Klimovsk and has a Klimovsk Verification Keymark on the receiver and bolt but they are more discreet than the marks on those Mosins. The vast majority of Mosins in this country already have come in via Ukraine, who tend not to restamp etc.
