Just use two envelopes. An inner one containing your paperwork and fully addressed to the Firearms Department etc. Then put that inside a second envelope addressed just to the Police HQ.mag41uk wrote:I have always thought in over 35 years as a shooter that sending paperwork to an address with Firearms Licensing in it is a bad thing!
I have always felt uneasy going to post office to get it sent. My local PO is in a shop and I go in there a few times a week.
I now go to a local cop shop and have it sent within their internal postal system.
This has its pitfalls as there doesn't seem to be a fixed time frame.
My last renewal paperwork took about 7 days from local cop shop to HQ.
There must be a better way. Maybe just have a random name or reference in the HQ address?
I usually put FL Dept.
