Virtually no difference between Barnaul and milsurp.....same cases, propellant and the same steel cored bullet.Pretty much the only difference is the non corrosive primer and they aren't a problem if you clean properly.

I've shot Tula (539) milsurp, LVE Novosibirsk (188) and Klimov (711) milsurp as well as PPU, Tulammo and Barnaul commercial in four different rifles........best of the lot was good 'ole Russian milsurp.*

*worst of the lot was PPU, which incidentally is the worst 54r I've put through the Dragunov.......I know everybodies rifles and preferences are different and the above is just my humble opinion :good:

When you say worst what exactly was worse about it. Accuracy recoil chambering what makes you say that it's the worst.

Recoil???.....from x39?, no it was the worst in terms of accuracy.Not by a large amount but worse nevertheless, particularly in 54r.
