Wild Dog Rem 700 stock - whats it worth?

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

A friend has asked me to sell his Wild Dog composite stock inletted for a short action Remington 700. Can anyone hazard a guess on a value for such a thing? It is the Varmint style without the ammunition box inletted into the butt section.

Mine was a Desert Tan thumbhold, with an adjustable cheek piece. It also had a bottom metal fitted for AICS mags. A well known rifle smith in the UK bought it and he didn't quibble about the £350 price, so I imagine that was a good price.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
