A shot gun needs to shoot where you are looking without you having to think about the gun so correct fit is absolutely vital. That and the correct mount are the two most important things. The quality of the gun is of very secondary importance.

So even if it's just a second hand start off number, you reckon it would be worth me having it fitted?

Depends - the cost of getting it altered might be more than the gun is worth but it'll certainly make it better to shoot.

Unless you are very; tall, short, skinny, fat, have long/short arms 9/10 European (Turkey not included) guns will fit you. You'll soon know if a gun really doesn't fit you as it'll kick the snot out of you!

Agreed Mark :good:

I am reasonably tall at 6.3.5" with a long neck so the fitting saved me being hunched up over the dun with my nose too close to my thumb (Ouch!)
