That's the problem, he's got form for it. He purposely fitted non-standard foreends/barrel nuts (to the original ones at least) so you'd have to go to him for a replacement as the normal AR barrel nut wrenches don't fit. He was quite flabbergasted when I told him I'd already replaced mine using just a hammer and punch green55
I think I came across your pics of the removed nut if memory serves.

I tried to limit that with the 9mm build by sending him the forend that I wanted (Hogue Tan ) my guess being that the nut used for that should be a standard one, however I have not tried to remove it yet for swap rounds so cant be sure. For sure that wont be the case for the 5.56 as I was told very clearly that they would only fit their supplied QD forend with that build, when I was talking to one of the builders/smiths on a previous conversation about the 9mm, he said it was done intentionally to reduce and limit work round the gas parts, I guess again that would be for cornering the sales of front end furniture, though that wasn't said directly it wasn't hard to figure.

Shame that even though the gun builder site states "build your dream rifle " you actually can't, you can only build it within SGC's limit of what your dream should be.... lol

Rob1 & Blackstuff
Cheers for the info The Hammer & punch is my kind of solution to problem nuts.
Used to have to use an air chisel to remove ford oil sump plugs.

Yes, I picked up the Strike Eagle and some Vortex 2" cantilever mounts. I tried looking through the scope today out of a bedroom window across the park at a house in the next avenue, about 100m and it is really nice and clear.

No, I left them with enough 9mm for other customers green55

Well done, the Strike Eagle suits the rifle and albeit not designed for 9mm the cross hairs are pretty well laid out.

Finished off the last of my 9mm ammo yesterday afternoon and have arranged with Bromsgrove to get some more 9mm in (you did leave a couple of hundred rounds but I want a bit more than that).

Good shooting!
