I also have no problem with 75gn Hornadys and 77 Scenars in a 1 in 9 twist.

Like I said, it completely depends on the gun. I suppose you gents also do not run rounds that are not that hot? What powder did you use for the 75gns? Out of interest?

Interesting to see that others are getting on fine with a 1.9 twist. I've tried in a few rifles and just never gotten the accuracy I knew the rifles were capable of.

Mullen, I use 24.6 Gr of Varget, that's in a rifle with a 1.8 twist. Sub moa accurate.

24gn N140 with the 77 scenars.
My rifle is actually chambered 5.56 and I could probably up that a touch.
TBF I have only shot this to 200 so far.
I may be at 800 next week and if its not too windy will give them a go.

24.2gn of R15 behind a 77SMK loaded to mag length in cases that are so old they can be classed as antiques in their own right. Way more accurate than me.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
