Lead Alloy Ingots

#1 Post by dodgyrog »

I'm getting ready for my stand at the Imperial. I have just smelted 100kgs of lead and the sweat is pouring down my face.
Cup of tea time.
2/3 pure lead and 1/3 Linotype - it rings nicely when struck. Just the right hardness.
Now to get on with the boolit casting.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

Have you got a lead mine at the bottom of the garden?

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

At age 63 it's not a likely issue. (Think about it!).
No lead mine, just a friendly scrappy. Still expensive stuff though.

Got to say, when we met, I wouldn't have put you at 63! Surely, still "plenty lead in the pencil"!!!! LOL!
