SGC 9mm lever release... what are they like now?

An RFD in our club has a 9mm lever release. I shot it. I loved it. I shot it again. I loved it more. I would put one in my cabinet in a heart beat if anyone else but SGC made it. I'll refrain from commenting further on SGC....

I have been talking with the guys from Valmont Firearms who sell the 9mm SGC and would order and collect from them as they are much nearer (in Sheffield) and it avoids dealing with Bob who is supposedly something of a challenge ... I don't know as I've not spoken to anyone at SGC yet.

I was talking to a local RFD the other night who has experience of the 9mm and thinks they are wonderful .... but did tell me that they had to send an early example back..... a customer was trying it out on the range and came back for another box of 9mm... the dealer couldn't understand how he had used them up so fast, so he went into the range only to find that the rifle was shooting full auto

No one has or considering the .45 ACP version then, I shot one a few months ago and it was great, even out to 200 yds, I don't have one but the owner told me it was better at feeding and easier to reload, can't comment on that of course.

From what Valmont Firearms told me, the .45 ACP round is slower to cycle..... and of course we all know that .45 ACP is twice the price of 9mm.

I'd order straight from SGC if I were you - I did, and it was delivered in a week, to my exact spec.
Better to talk to the maker than a middle man, you can always have it delivered locally.

I've had both the 9mm and 45ACP versions. The 9mm is the one to go for.

I'd strongly recommend the exact opposite as then you've got at least half a chance if something goes wrong with it. Once Bob has your money its good night Vienna.

Can any one with a very new 9mm one post a picture of the bolt face,
I believe bob has changed it which sorted feeding issues.

Looked at one these however for the same price you can get a 5.56mm (straight pull ) which does a lot more then 9mm abit with a slightly slower rate of fire

I'd advise one of each, just to be sure.

If the calibres case head fits one of the existing bolts I'm sure the associated barrel could be sourced and fitted for the right price
