A bit of wee comes out! What happens to your body when you see one of these bad boys in action? :p

Well MrSnajperskaya, call it "rg42 type" then but it was very close.I tossed this live grenade, and my friend handed this shrapnel back to me on return to safety trench-it was still warm...fell down from the trees above us,old happy(?) days...

Not doubting you for a minute my friend, it would appear that despite the RG-42 being phased out by the Soviet Union in the early to mid 50s its use in other Warsaw Pact countries continued long after. It was still being produced in Bulgaria for example well into the 70s and 80s.
It appears the Polish practice version is designated the CRG-42 and is black with a red stripe to distinguish it from the service version.

Grenade body was green, for sure-just normal combat gear. This was end of the era-do not forget,we were very strap in lot of things-in 2year time of my service I fired 16 rounds only from my PM63...Last Saturday I send 61 bullets from my mosin M44 in memory of my late Father-in 1 hour...

French army at the time was not doing much better. When I was based in RFA our monthly rounds count was critically poor but then once/year we would go for a week "campagne de tir" and blast everything found in the armoury from Mac50 pistols, MP5, Famas, FRF1, AA52, some Warsaw Pact weapons to vehicule mounted 50 cal. By far the best state's sponsored holidays ever :good:
