SGC 9mm lever release updated version ?
i went onto the sgc website, it seems they have updated the receiver on the 9mm ar-15.
it still takes glock mags. anyone know if their are built better or still have a tendency to blow up ?
they also make a 45acp one now

a member at our club has one and very nice it is too. It's in 45 acp and he loves it. I've tried it a couple of times and one of the original lever release models and have to say the new version seems / feels nicer. Of course, only time will tell.

I don't know whether this is true or not as I don't know anyone directly involved, but at what point would they become liable? All rifles I've bought from new come with the disclaimer that the warranty is voided should the customer use handloaded ammunition and that they accept no liability if an issue is to arise. Again, I know nothing about the aforementioned issues but I think if the manufacturer helped resolved the issues (if they were really that common) then what would certainly give them good press.tackb wrote:a couple did , sadly SGC dealt appallingly with the owners and as such there is a few horror stories out there!Hunter87 wrote:They had a tendency to blow up?!!

Fairly sure this has been discussed extensively on here before but can't find the thread.

I know two of the folk concerned (there were a few more than two that blew up)WelshShooter wrote:I don't know whether this is true or not as I don't know anyone directly involved, but at what point would they become liable? At least one of the shooters that had issues with their SGC 9mm is an active forum member on here
The maker didn't help = nothing but bad press

2 were rebuilt by a well known gun plumber and no reports of any issues. I was only aware of two failures.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
