Incorrect. Ruger made the NO 1 a couple of years back in 303 and Zastava makes a nice modern tactical in 7.62x54 http://www.gunstar.co.uk/zastava-lk-m07 ... les/780967DaveB wrote:Rimmed cartridges like 7.62 x 54R, and .303, are not exactly flavour of the month. There aren't any new build rifles in .303, so why would there be in the Russian calibre?
Nope - aside from the previously mentioned offerings from CZ, Ruger and the AR platform I think you are out of luck.

Aye - should see some of his past adverts - you couldn't make them up (er, coz he reserved that for himself to do....)breacher wrote:Sandgroper wrote:5.45x39 anyone? http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sal ... 3132828012[/quote

You beat me to it Mr B........it amazes me how every AK is an AK-47!.breacher wrote:Sandgroper wrote:5.45x39 anyone? http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sal ... 3132828012[/quote

I wonder were he got 5.45x39 ammo over here?, it is pretty rare and I have only ever seen it listed once. That's the reason nobody bothered bringing 5.45x39 Saigas into the UK, once you'd have one you'd struggle to feed it.

Yeah???...and?.Sandgroper wrote:
Some people are far too precious...I was referring to the fact that it's a bolt action in a Russian calibre as per the OP.
I was referring to the fact that whoever buys that bolt action rifle in a Russian calibre, that being 5.45x39, will struggle to find a sustainable source of ammunition.
The other thing myself and Breacher were referring to was the reference in the advert to the AK-47 being 5.45......which it isn't and never has been.
I think you have been a bit precious in assuming a dig was being made at your post, which it wasn't, we were merely pointing out the inaccuracy of the statement in the seller of the rifles advertisement.

Re: Does anyone make guns in Russian calibres?
I was going to add that talk of AK47's is a bit incorrect too. Most AK variants people have seen are the AKM's and possibly AK74's with recent events. Sadly there is no good source of 5.45x39 in this country as you say.snayperskaya wrote:Yeah???...and?.Sandgroper wrote:

I now see the point that you and Breacher were making and apologise for my comment/response.snayperskaya wrote:Yeah???...and?.Sandgroper wrote:
