6.5 139 Scenar jump

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

I am just about to measure the maximum OAL for the S&L with 139 Scenar's and was going to build with a 0.010" jump assuming the magazine allows this. Does anyone on the forum reload with 6.5mm Scenar's and if so what sort of jump do work with?

For my .308 155 Scenar's I am usually back by just under ten thou.

Hi, I also use 139 grain scenar's in my 6.5 and found that the best loads work with the heads spaced at 10 thou(.25mm) off the lands, I have also found this spacing to be the best when using A-max and Sierra heads.

Hope this helps
