K31 scout scope mount

#1 Post by Mike95 »

Just a heads up for those of you on a limited budget. I purchased a long Moisin Nagant scout scope base from Ant supplies, (not the short one), cost me £10...thought it might fit my K31..it does...knock out the roll pin from the k31 rear sight, remove the leaf spring.. and fit the scope base. The side fitting bolts which come with the scout base are too large a diameter for the k31 rear sight base roll pin holes..you do not want to try drilling out the k31 sight base roll pin holes!...just refit the original roll pin and use the levelling bolts in the scope base to get a firm fit. I was not sure if the thing was level, but it was. I purchased an AGS 2x20 pistol scope s/h at £20....fits perfectly..good eye relief. The pistol scope has half MOA clicks so plenty of adjustment. Great at 50m...probably fine at 100m...not sure how it will stand up to GP11...I may now purchase a 2-8 x32 pistol scope, now I know the rig will work. No obstruction at all to ejection.

Used the same mount (with a bit a adjustment) for my M95/30. Could be amusing with Bulgarian surplus ammo!

Not at the moment, but I'll get some sorted. I actually used the short rail and not the long as mentioned in the OP. http://ant-supplies.co.uk/Pages/MosinNa ... Rails.aspx
