If I had the money for my .303 slot at the moment, this would be (very) high on my list:

".303 cal Lee Enfield No.4 Mk II with new Armalon hammer forged barrel to original pattern, one 10rd magazine and original sling. Gun slip included. Very good condition - well worth a look!"
Ideal no.4 mk.1 what would you pay?

£725!!!
May as well get a new Lothar Walther barrel and have it fitted to your existing No.4 at that price.

Which is fine, if you have a very good condition (other than barrel) No.4 already (although need to factor in gunsmithing and proof costs)Gaz wrote:£725!!!

I was at the range on Wednesday with my Maltby No4 (built up and proofed by Phil Rose) and finished by me, I have very carefully gone back through the bedding and she is now printing 2 inch groups and shooting like a brand new rifle!
Phil will build you a superb No4, with original components, very highly recommended indeed chaps!
Don't get too caught up on FTR markings, because this only tells you that that particular action body and bolt went through a factory rebuild 60 years ago ... chances are its been apart a good few times since, as its gone from owner to owner down the generations!
