Yes, I'm in Beds and Herts, and they have always been a very understanding force, both when it was Herts only and now the two have combined. Hope it stays a great department when Cambs come onboard.
I totally agree, wish it was the same with other areas.
fingerscrossed Cambs.

Problem for FAC/SGC holders is that most of it is guidance, how are we supposed to fight this nonsense when we have nothing tangible to refer to?
I really would like to have a good working relationship with my FEO however they do not always make it easy for us.

Christal, do you have Eddie B for your FACs as well as your RFD?
I've always found Eddie to be great help and very supportive. And my FAC FEO a great guy as well.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Ah, therein lies the problem, Eddie (top chap) used to be our contact however we moved and it feels like a different planet here.

Ah, I forgot you moved.

From what I heard Beds and Herts seem to be trying to get Cambs to play the game and follow B&H's existing (very good) practice, and not the made up routine they appear to use at the moment, before everyone jumps in bed together.

I'm paraphrasing here and reading between the lines. ;)

That is essentially the problem, a lot is made up, nothing is written in stone (law)
So how do we challenge made up rules?

Well you are now living yellow belly country they do do things slightly different, when I lived up there (mid 80's) and first applied for a SGC, you would have thought I'd asked for the world.
