Impossible Task

#1 Post by tarantulaman »

Hello all,

A friend and I have Swiss K31 rifles for which we have recently purchased original W+F Diopter sights. We had to get them from Switzerland as they are practically impossible to find in the UK.

The sights are wonderful, however we have a problem.

One of the sights came with an adjustable iris on the front sight, but the other only has post style inserts. We are trying to find another adjustable iris but it is proving very difficult.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the sights and possible sources for the iris?

Here are some pictures of the front sight with the adjustable iris.

Thanks,

Dave

The store we got them from said they just sell them in the state they come in so it is just luck.

But I can try your second suggestion.

Thanks,

Dave

Have you tried Swiss Products in the States - http://www.swissproductsllc.com - they may be able to help or try the Swiss Rifles forum at http://theswissriflesdotcommessageboard.yuku.com - Members on there may be able to help

If it's a standard 18 mm foresight mount and thread you can buy irises that will fit, over the counter, in several places eg the NSRA shop.

Thanks everyone. I will try out some of those links.

Unfortunately it is not 18mm, more like 13mm.
