We've seen and pawdled a Merkel Helix and liked it. It came up to the shoulder very well. We've only read about the Strasser but it appears to merit further investigation. Blasers don't seem to suit us, they just feel wrong though we have seen them shot very accurately. The Bergara is rather less expensive (and we're a Yorkshire Badger) but we have no experience of 'em...
