I can see no reason why they should not allow plinkers to have a go. At the Historic meeting there is a class for the running boar that allows the use of 'Miltary' rifles as they realised a lot of people wanted to 'Have a Go' but had only brought military rifes for their other comps. We just need to ask. If they say no ask why and ask why they are turning down a really good source of income. Money talks esp to this 'New NRA'.

I & others have asked for steel knockdowns / falling plates to be reinstated on Sticks too - we haven't been told to bog off yet....

....Can we have a steel Badger silhouette at 600yds?

No SimG, it's not the QSA that instigated this. The SSBPCRC (Single Shot Black Powder Cartridge Club of Great Britain) finally succeeded. Been trying for over 10 years to get this in. Always blocked in the early days by Martin Farnan and his successor, Brian, was not much help either. Finally the business (money) viewpoint has won. A target hit recognition system is being designed as we speak. It will be shot on from 800 back to 1200.

Steel silhouettes (chicken, pig, turkey and ram) are next!

That's cool! Something very satisfying about hitting steel targets from afar...
