New holosun red dot disappointment

Hi all I just thought I would share this with you I just got a new holosun red dot after seeing some great reviews on the tube about them unfortunately it didn't come with the included battery but even more annoying is that the low mount it came with doesn't even fit the sight (must have got a Friday job ) it's not like it's a cheapo sight it cost £200 after all hopefully the place where I got it will make everything right.

I hope you get it sorted, but at £200 it is at the cheaper end of the market IMO. I'd expect to pay at least half that for 1 mount, let alone 2 of them. There's nothing wrong with looking for a deal, but at lower prices you tend to find these problems.

Should be a simple case of getting a replacement low mount. At least its not the base of the optic that wasn't true

Wow Halodin! What are you paying for red dots? A C-More railway click sight runs at just over £200 from Double Alpha and they're damn good sights. A Shield plus mount is not much more. Both used by top level pistol and rifle shooters. Aimpoints etc. are good but not twice the price good.

I'd expect to pay double that for an eotech or aimpoint. I don't own a red dot, but I'm of the opinion some are less parallax free than others.

I got the Burris Fastfire 3 for about the same price.

Top quality - £200 is not peanuts and I would expect an item to work as described at any cost !!

The Eotech is holographic not red dot. Having a C-More on both a pistol and a rifle and having used a Shield I can assure you they are both entirely parallax free. The Burris is an outstanding red-dot too.
