I need to purchase the retaining screws to hold my new scope mounting rail to my Marlin. Where might I purchase some?

Doh, I just took a scope rail off my 1894 to put it back to normal, but hadn't got round to getting a 'for sale' ad done for the rail and screws. Also try Marlin Spares - depending on the make of rail they may have something.

6-48 for the 1894 and 8-40 for the bigger 1895 in rifle cartridges. Length will depend purely on the make and model of rail. Might be easier and cheaper, Rog, to acquire a new rail of eBay...

And, as sometimes pedantic nomenclature reigns on the forum, it's not "prison warders" it's Prison Officers. They are all warranted with all the powers of a constable and are without doubt the forgotten part of the civil service. Some of the most professional and bravest individuals I've ever worked with, wore a Prison Officers uniform...
