Mosin nagant m44 marking
Just wondering if anyone one here knows what this marking is on my mosin nagant m44 its a bird with N underneath its stamped on the barrel bolt and reciever the rifle is Russian 1944 dated all matching serial numbers in a laminate stock

German proof mark most if not all Mosin Nagants for sale here have come from/through Germany. That proof is accepted here so no need to get it UK proofed.

And the "y" in a circle on the receiver is the Russian final black powder proof mark and the square with a line through it is an Arsenal refurb mark.Rifle was produced at the Izhevsk Arsenal, which later become Izhmash.

From what I can see, there is an `antler` stamp on the receiver, which is the proof mark of the German proof house at Ulm, which an accepted CIP proof.
