Island Games

Just come off the range after a day of IPSC pistol here in Jersey for the Island Games.

Really friendly bunch here in Jersey, massively generous running around for those of us who have to borrow guns etc... And amazing facilities.

Isle of Wight has won 17 medals so far, 11 of which have been for shooting disciplines (funny old thing the media back home haven't mentioned that fact!)

However, both (Jersey) BBC & ITV have been up filming the IPSC match and seemed really taken with the action.

If you want to see some evidence of positive shooting look to Jersey and look to the Island Games.

Don't think I've done terribly well but thoroughly enjoyed day 1!

I just make do with LBP & LBR's and I use an NLT SIRT laser pistol for dry firing, no substitute for the real thing but it's what we've got.

The Island Games is like a mini Olympics so imagine if that lot showcased IPSC!

Nice piece... but the shooters looked quite slow! I wish we could do CF pistol shooting on the mainland.. *sigh*

Have to make do with LBP, Airsoft and occasional trips abroad..

Have i slipped into the Twilight Zone? It was just reported as a normal sport on ITV..... If only it was shown outside of Jersey!
