The T handle did not work and neither did his rifles. IMO
He may not have done them in volume but he did do the odd FAL (and it is odd!) :)

I have one of those FAB grip bipods, But I've not seen the mag before, is that a polymer FAL mag? Where did you get that?
Rifle and mag not mine. ARB sent me the picture! I think similar (and very good by all accounts) polymer mags for FALs are made by Moses Mag in the states.
Getting them over here might be the problem. Hope this helps.

I checked and you might be right. To be fair in the US I can understand new manufacture with companies like DSarms making new FAL's but getting the mags would be a problem. To be fair the one thing I think might be of interest to some that hopefully we'll hear more about will use something more readily available. But that is for another day.

oh! shut up until you can tell ppl anything!!
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns
That's an L1A1 not a FAL. The hollow foresight, carry handle and flash hider are a giveaway.

I wandered off sorry. But its a shame about the polymer FAL mags. I don't know if they're as reliable as old metal FAL mags, but with the stuff magpul and others have done with AR, AK's and other mags. A good poly FAL mag might be something else. But as AR10's are now the rage in the US that is where the 308 semi auto market is going (though strangely I do remember Oberland Arms making an AR10 that used G3 mags, weird). And I'm as p*** I can't tell anyone anything also. In fact I did check and it seems like radio silence, hmmm. But I also realized the fal mag in the pic doesn't quite match the moses mag. Anyway its not like Surplus fal or L1A1 mags are gold dust at all.
One other question, if that's an L1A1, what is that rail dust cover in the pic? My friend has been trying to find one that is plug and play and it seems like its just find a metric one and fettle away. He hasn't got those skills sadly. So does anyone here know of one that goes straight onto an L1A1 rifle?

Yes I completely agree about the front end and I did think twice about posting the picture but the lower receiver is pure FAL and most of the upper may well be. Much as we might like to, unfotunately we can't ask the man himself for clarification given his current indisposition can we?

I have heard of franken FAL's in the US being put together on new receivers that can use either metric or inch mags without fail using a mix of fal and L1A1 bits (Argentine and Aussie parts in the same gun for example). So its possible.
