identifying an odd looking 7.62 bullet

#1 Post by bradaz11 »

A neighbour that knows I shoot popped over the other day with cartridge he'd found in the field while walking his dog, he was worried about it at the time and called the police, but they were more interested if someone had been shooting.

as you can see there is no primer in it, but I was curious about the bullet, as the tip seems to have an extended piece in it, and the very tip has three tiny holes in it.

Does anyone know what it is?

The headstamp "DAG" is Dynamit Nobel (Germany).

I'll remember that if a Scimitar-wielding Jihadist ever comes at me......I'll write him an essay on why he shouldn't and jab him with a Bic!!!. :p

Did someone say "He who says the pen is mightier than the sword has never faced automatic weapons".

Isn't the internet the automatic weapon version of the pen? Or does it count as a WMD?
