I keep toying with the idea of a 303 one but Enfields get in the way time and time again ;)
I have fired a 577/450 one at the club with fixed bayonet, fantastic one day
What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

So is 577/450 the original calibre of these guns??? and if so what the nearest modernday equivilent calibre??

I know someone who has got a minature version in .22 of a Martini Henry,, its exactly the same, but a scaled down version and as said in .22,,,he dont fire it,, he just looks at it,,,,bit of a collector more than a shootist!!
