What do the statistics look like post 2005? From a rebuttal that I read, firearms homicides have increased in CT since that date but I have not researched it personally.

I have lived in states that require a permit to buy a handgun that have a higher firearms homicide rate per 100,000 than other states without such laws. Does that mean the permit system increases firearms crimes?
