Yep there is Simon, Severnside on a Wednesday, turn up, pay £15 and shoot (don't take the club members regular firing points though, or a low growl and snarling may occur) lol , only joking, very friendly range..

There are some ranges available that will allow pistol calibre (or GRFB) as opposed to rifle FB, and I'm hoping to get our range passed for pistol calibre as well as rimfire. Only 25yds indoor but it'll be pay and play.
We're on the Herts/Essex border.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

I'd like to say :D, but I'm confused (a regular condition these days).
Am I missing something?

ETA: The light has come on (or should I say been switched on for me, thanks Bradaz :good: ).
I should have said "...ME and MVs consistent with pistol calibres" or something like that.

I'll leave now and go back to work.

Ranges certificates are issued defining maximum calibre, maximum velocity (MV) and the maximum muzzle energy (MV) for the particular range, pistol calibres is a meaningless definition for a range certificate as pistol calibres could be over the certificate limits. How would you define a pistol calibre? .454" Casul was designed as a pistol calibre but is no doubt way over the top in muzzle energy and velocity for most 25 yrd indoor range certificates in this country.

For insurance purposes for example you would need to demonstrate the calibre, MV and ME. Whether it was a "pistol calibre", whatever that means, or not you would still need to prove that it was within the range certificate limits.

But go ahead make it confusing, difficult and meaningless if you want but clearer thinking could save you grief down the line.
